It's In The Details

It's In The Details

It turns out that the little things really do matter…..

We have all probably heard it numerous times throughout our life that the small things matter, that the small details can make or break something.

Well, it is true.

The perfect example of this is just looking at our own lives.

Every small detail is what makes up who we are as people. They determine our attitude, our character, and how we live our lives.

Think about it.

If you see someone who just leaves a shopping cart out in the middle of the parking lot, what do you assume of that person? Probably, that they are lazy and probably lack integrity.

Now, what about the opposite? You see a person not only put their cart away but they also go and put the cart in the middle of the parking lot away, what do you think of them? Probably, that they are a person of high moral character.

This can be true for many things.

Picking up trash off the ground. Messy car equals a messy life. Thinking that “it” is someone else’s responsibility.

All of these and so much more have a huge impact on your life whether you know it or not.

I can personally attest to it.

I can vividly reflect on the times in my life that things were going good and bad and see that it is a direct correlation to the small details.

So, here is my question. How do we improve at anything in life?

Repetition.

The small things in life are daily practice and repetition for the big things that come along in life.

Yeah you leave your shopping cart in the parking lot one time no big deal right? Wrong.

Because you left that cart out. When it comes time later that month to close a big sale, you get a little sloppy just like leaving the cart out and you miss out on that huge opportunity.

Stop taking the small details for granted.

If you want to win at the big things in life you have to win daily at the small things.

Focus on the details.
