Time Is Limited

Last week was a rough one…..
Man, I didn’t think last week was ever going to end. Between a family emergency and having to say goodbye to the dog we’ve had since I was 10 years old, it was a rough one.
Last week though, was a good reminder of how limited our time is on this earth.
Time is something that is always running out.
It really makes you reflect on what you are prioritizing throughout the day and within your life.
You already spend a third of your life sleeping and usually at least another third working.
So, what do you do with that last third?
That is the question I have been asking myself over and over.
What am I doing that is not worth my precious time?
Scrolling social media, watching TV, and so many other things.
Those aren’t worth it. Trust me.
There are a few things you have to do to get the most out of your time.
Get your priorities straight. Be efficient. Be intentional.
You have to get your priorities straight. It is a must. If your priorities aren’t straight then you will always feel lost.
Once you have your priorities straight you have to be efficient. First you have to be efficient when you are working. Being able to cross some things off while you are doing what you absolutely have to do is key because it just frees up those last 8 hours.
Then, you have to be efficient in your last 8 hours by constantly referring to your priorities. You have all of these tasks you need to do but what order should you do them in? Well, by referring to your priorities it helps you figure out what needs to be done first as well as what can be accomplished at the same time.
Lastly, you have to be intentional.
If you aren’t being intentional and doing things with a purpose then don’t do them because they will only be done with little effort and focus. Find ways to be locked in mentally and put your best foot forward. You deserve your best and your family deserves your best.
Time is limited. Don’t waste it.
