Let Your Light Shine

This little light of mine, oh I’m gon na let it shine let it shine let it shine let it shiiiiiiinnnneeeee.

Man, for being a song we teach children and usually only sing when we are kids that song carries a lot of weight throughout our whole life.

So, I’ve got a question for you: how bright is your light shining right now?

I mean honestly take a minute to reflect and accurately assess yourself.

Are you walking the walk doing your best to be like Jesus? Are you doing everything you can to be the man or woman God made you to be?

Here’s the thing. It doesn’t matter how you are doing because we can always do better.

So, as you self assess, be detailed in things that you know you need to improve.

Maybe, it’s less gossip at work, maybe it's setting more time aside to actually build a relationship with God, or maybe it's as simple as putting yourself out there more as a Christ follower.

Whatever it is we have to be constantly getting better.

Our relationship with Christ is something that has to be maintained and improved day by day. We can’t just set it and forget it.

So, if your light is getting dim or maybe it is all the way out, or it could have never been lit.

Light it.

Once, you light it, grow it, and let it shine.
